Job summary
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for the Melchor Fellow tenure-track assistant professor position in the general area of condensed matter theory with emphasis on quantum phenomena including quantum information. We seek candidates who can create a vigorous and sustainable research program, teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and foster an equitable environment that promotes diversity and inclusion. A successful candidate is required to have a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field, have demonstrated excellence in independent research, and will be expected to establish a robust research program.
