Job summary
The Department of Physics at Ohio State University announces an opening for a tenure-line faculty hire in theoretical high-energy physics. The appointment is effective in the Autumn 2023 and the rank is at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. Ohio State has a strong research effort in this area ranging from QCD to physics beyond the Standard Model to black holes. The interdisciplinary connections of our HET faculty to our strong theory groups in Astro-Particle Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, and Nuclear Physics and even to Mathematics provides an exciting intellectual environment. We envision a candidate who will establish a cutting-edge research program in the areas of field theory and/or string theory.
